《撞邪31号》讲述的是一段因设计师宇浩与热恋女友安妮因工作入住31号别墅而引发一系列离奇事件的故事。别墅半夜经常有鬼影出现，被居民定义为鬼宅。鬼影在炎炎夏日蓄谋攻击女友安妮，深夜中几度与安妮交手。事情恶化，宇浩被不明魂魄拖下深水险些丧命，后托梦物品被盗，宇浩被诬陷，宇浩决定要找出鬼魂还自己清白……。平凡小捕快年(黄智贤)为揭穿骗子天(张家辉)的真面目，在一次误打误撞下杀死了妖道的义子。原来年乃脚踏七星之士，是唯一能接掌道教天师一位的人。妖道得悉其身份后，便派出荷抱子(刘锦玲)亲近之，欲置他于死地。年屡次身陷险境，幸得玄丹子(徐濠萦)多番出手相助，才安然无恙。 另一方面，年一直倾慕富家小姐菁菁(滕丽明)，所以对于接掌天师一事，不感兴趣。后菁被父逼婚，遂随年浪迹江湖，感情突飞猛进。而一直暗恋菁的天为成全二人，毅然放弃，后与玄丹子展开另一段爱情... 不久，荷抱子身份遭识破，年晴天霹雳，但仍处处维护她，更与菁菁等反目，究竟夹于正邪两女之间，年会如何抉择？。Greece, in the 1920's, is occupied by the Turks. The country is in turmoil with entire villages uprooted. The site of the movie is a Greek village that conducts a passion play each year. The leading citizens of the town, under the auspices of the Patriarch, choose those that will play the parts in the Passion. A stuttering shepherd is chosen to play Jesus. The town butcher (who wanted to be Jesus) is chosen as Judas. The town prostitute is chosen as Mary Magdalene. The rest of the disciples are also chosen. As the movie unfolds, the Passion Play becomes a reality. A group of villagers, uprooted by the war and impoverished, arrive at the village led by their priest. The wealthier citizens of the town want nothing with these people and manipulate a massacre. In the context of the 1920's each of the characters plays out their biblical role in actuality.。
