二十世纪20年代， 香港一富家子弟英家林来到广州 ，他结识了阿秀、阿华等小伙伴。 阿华等流浪儿在共产党员阿凯、 欧阳芳的关怀和帮助下，成为省港大罢工委员会的香港童子团团员。 当时，在发生沙面惨案后的白色恐怖下，阿凯和一些共产党员英勇牺牲了。阿芳虽然被孩子们误会，却仍然带领童子团的团员们继续与恶势力进行不屈不挠的斗争。 在中国共产党的领导下，在血与火的斗争考验中，孩子们茁壮成长起来，童子团也接受了一次次革命的考验。。Under somewhat murky circumstances, American independent filmmaker Jon Moritsugu was invited by PBS to make an hour-long film.
