卫斯理和罗约翰到日本度假,偶遇正在协助日本警察调查神秘凶杀案的白素。白素仍有心结,不肯接纳卫斯理, 要卫斯理离开日本。罗约翰却在机缘巧合下遇见了酷似自己初恋的女子无名。无名的神秘出现，使罗约翰处于爱与正义两难抉择中，而卫斯理和白素也因此卷入了新的风波......。The film opens with a narrated disclaimer over footage of an opening coffin.
