成長於80年代的阿富汗，街童本來以賣黃牛戲票為生。被送到孤兒院後，自由自在的生活頓時變得複雜，但遇上三位投契的室友卻令人生添上不少色彩。少年們幻想自己身處波里活歌舞片的情節中，一邊唱歌跳舞，一邊把壞蛋打到落花流水。孤兒們更有機會遠渡蘇聯，參加夏令營。雖然要接受愛黨教育，但眾人亦在旅程中體驗少年的成長味。可是，殘酷的現實很快便追上不幸的孩子。也許活在蘇聯的統治下，並不是最壞的景況。但要在亂世中勇敢生存，又談何容易？。Since the uprising of a pro-Russian insurgency in eastern Ukraine in 2014, hundreds of women joined the army. Only a few made it to the front line. Filmmaker Masha embeds herself in the war zone to follow the daily life of the three of them.。
