影片根据湾仔码头创始人、有“水饺皇后”之称的臧健和女士真实故事改编。上世纪70年代末，来自山东青岛的臧健和带着两个年幼的女儿投奔丈夫，却被迫流落他乡，为求生存的她只能在湾仔码头卖起水饺。她将如何扛下命运的重重刁难，一步步逆袭人生……。黄河边上的一个村庄住着凤英一家。凤英原想着等丈夫大虎带钱回来，就给小叔子二娃和彩彩定亲。谁知，二娃回来却带回了大虎死亡的消息。凤英的公公婆婆为了继续生活想让二娃娶凤英，让二娃陷入两难。最后，凤英独自回了娘家。。Based on the Kenneth Roberts novel of the same name, this film tells the story of two friends who join Rogers' Rangers, as the legendary elite force engages the enemy during the French and Indian War. The film focuses on their famous raid at Fort St. Francis and their marches before and after the battle.。
