テレビ朝日初の本格シットコムとなる本作は、さびれた温泉旅館・虹の屋の玄関とロビー、従業員室、大浴場の入口、エレベーターという限られた空間で繰り広げられる群像劇。主人公は虹の屋の3代目である父親に反発し家を飛び出すも、うだつの上がらない日々を送っていた柿丘哲郎だ。劇中では哲郎が実家の窮地を救うため10年ぶりの帰宅を果たすも、虹の屋は100年の伝統を誇る老舗旅館の品格やサービスが完全に消え失せ、一筋縄ではいかない従業員の吹き溜まりと化していた。。With angry villagers driving them away from their castle in Transylvania, Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) and his son Ferdinand (Bernard Ménez) head abroad. The Prince of Darkness ends up in London, England where he becomes a horror movie star exploiting his vampire status. His son, meanwhile, is ashamed of his roots and ends up a night watchman in Paris, France where he falls ...。
