No matter how different they seem, the taxi driver and the hooker, the grumpy elderly couple, the quarreling young lovers, and the loquacious pair of petty criminal...。聚焦一桩曾牵动许多人心的失踪和凶杀案，主角是在美国遇害的中国留学生章莹颖。该片由与她同校的学生施佳妍执导，展现在章莹颖失踪后寻找她和凶手(此后认定为布伦特·克里斯滕森)的过程，包括其男友和家人的努力，也展现她生前是怎样一个人。。故事讲述了设计师水岛悟（二宫和也饰）在咖啡厅遇上了神秘女性美雪（波瑠饰），他被与自己价值观相同的美雪所吸引。随后主动提出交换联络方式，但美雪婉拒：想见的时候，我们可以相见的。于是两人每周四都在咖啡厅相见，感情越来越深。不过水岛悟准备向美雪求婚的时候，美雪却没有出现在周四的咖啡厅里…… 影片根据北野武同名小说改编。。
